John Kennedy at Owosso, Michigan

In October 1960, then presidential candidate John F. Kennedy stopped in Westown Owosso as part
of a 10-stop, one-day train swing through Michigan. Governor G. Mennen "Soapy" Williams (right)
and U.S. Senator Frank Church of Utah also visited along with other national Democratic Party leaders.
Kennedy also visited Jackson, Albion, Marshall, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Saginaw
along the Michigan Central Railway.
